Hi, Is Residence visa valid for applying or getting a performer's license? I was a musician and got a a foreigner bf,he extended my visa until 2013 same as his visa and he is an engineer.I just want to confirm if it is safe for me to go back to work as musician using this kind of visa? coz i heard from some musicians that i should change my visa into working visa to be able to get a performers license? I wanna be clear about this before i proceed coz i don't want to waste my current visa.

According to the law of China, you can't work in China with a China tourist visa. You should apply for a work visa if you do want to work as musician in China. What you heard from those musicians is true.

Can i apply visa at baiyun airport. guangzhou? for urgent situation, see patients in critical conditions (my family). Can you tell me the procedure? Thanks

Yes, you can apply for an on-arrival visa at Baiyun Airport, provided proof of being under urgent situation such as the notice of the critical illness by the hospital. The procedure won't take too much time if you provided all the necessary documents well. You may enquire the air company about the details.
