 Transportation to the Embassy:
The Embassy in Beijing is located in the Ta Yuan Diplomatic Office Buildings. You can take a public bus and get off at Ta Yuan Cun stop and then you can find the embassy very easily. The buses routes include Bus No. 110, 24, 413, 418, 688 and 823.

 Name: The Republic of Cyprus

 People:  At the end of 2005, Cyprus has a population of 854,300. Among this, Greek people account for 76.8 percent and Turkish people occupies 10.3 percent of the total population; the others are Armenian people, Latin people, Maronite and foreign people.

 Language: English, Greek, Turkish

 Religion: The Greek people embrace Orthodox Church; while the Turkish believe in Islam.

 Geography: The country is situated in the northeast of Mediterranean Sea. it covers an area of 9,251 square kilometers (3,572 square miles) and the coastline reaches 782 kilometers (486 miles).

 Capital: Nicosia is the capital and it has a population of 363,000 in 2005.

Note: All of the government offices, private companies, banks, shops and stores are closed on the above-mentioned holidays. The shops and stores in the tourist areas and all the banks are open on the Christmas Eve.
