 Personal Security and Health
Robbery and stealing may happen sometimes, so it is suggested that travelers should not carry too many cash and valuables outside. Once involve in accidents, please contact with your nations' embassies and report to the local police. Although tips are not required in Angola, travelers are still expected to pay some to the waiters, salesman even the policemen and doctors.

Angola is a tropical country that is always involved in the various kinds of terrible epidemic diseases, such as the high incidence of malaria, AIDS and yellow fever. So, you should be vaccinated against these diseases before coming. On the other hand, the mosquito bite is so serious in Angola that the general insect repellents could not supply enough prevention. The more powerful and quick acting ones should be prepared in advance.

Generally speaking, the medical condition of Angola is poor that always lacks doctors and medicines. Its capital Luanda only has three large hospitals and some private clinics. Most of the hospitals do not supply medicine which can be purchased in the drug stores outside the hospitals. The cost in the private clinics is much higher that no less than $30 is charged only for the registration. If you are going to have a stay, some common medicines should be carried.

Please contact China Embassy in Angola if Angolans will go to China.
