China Visa Application Service Center in Egypt

Ordinary passport holders should go to the CVASC instead of the Consular Office of the embassy to submit the applications. However, applicants holding diplomatic/official/service passports shall submit their applications directly to the embassy.

Egypt Profile


Capital: Cairo, the capital and largest city of Egypt, spans the Nile River and serves as the economic, cultural and transportation hub of the entire Middle East region. Cairo is also one of the oldest cities in the world and among the few ancient cities that has been relatively spared from damage caused by the war.

Geographical Feature: Egypt spans both Asia and Africa, facing Europe across the Mediterranean. While over 94% of its landmass is in Africa, only the Sinai Peninsula east of the Suez Canal is located in Southwest Asia. 96.5% of its land is desert and only 3.5% being cultivated land and populated areas.    

Population: 100 Million by 2021.

Language: The official language of Egypt is Arabic, with English and French being widely used as well.

Currency: Egyptian Pound

Religion: Islam is the main religion in Egypt, with Sunni Muslims accounting for 84%of its population. The other 16% adheres to Coptic Christianity, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Armenian Christianity, and Protestantism.

Best time to visit: The climatic feature of Egypt is hot and dry, with only two seasons in a year: winter and summer. The mild winter period is from November to April, while the scorching summer is from May to October. Therefore the best time to take Egypt tours is from October to next April.

Major tourist attractions: Giza Pyramids, Nile River cruise, Egyptian Museum, Great Sphinx, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Karnak, Memphis Site, Abu Simbel.

1)Valid passport(six month or above before expired);
2) Neatly completed application form;
3) One recent photo;
4) round-way tickets and hotel reservation.
5. proof of enough money to cover your duration in China such as your bank statement

Hi...i'm an Egyptian male 33 years old, i'm a computer programmer, and i wanted to go to Hong Kong for some relaxation as i always wanted to visit Hong Kong, and hopefully i searched on the Hong Kong government site and it was listed that Egyptians don't need a visa or as i understood that it will be taken upon arrival in Hong Kong is this right?

Yes, Egypitian passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days.
