Visa Application

Cambodians holding ordinary passports shall apply for a visa in advance to enter China Mainland. Diplomatic and official passport holders can enter China Mainland visa-free and stay for no more than 30 days.

To Hong Kong & Macao

1. Cambodian citizens holding valid passports can go to Macao directly and get a visa on arrival. Diplomatic or official passport holders can enter Macau and stay for no more than 14 days visa-free.

2. Cambodian citizens holding ordinary passports are required to apply for Hong Kong Visa, while holders of Diplomatic and Official passports may visit the HKSAR visa-free for a stay not exceeding 14 days.

 The Embassy only accepts Hong Kong visa applications for travelling or transit purpose. For other purposes, they need to contact the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Online application is available.

Full Name: The Kingdom of Cambodia

Capital: Phnom Penh, the largest city and political, economic, cultural, transportation, religious center of Cambodia.

Language: The official language is Cambodian, also known as Khmer language. However, French and English are also commonly used.

Religion: Buddhism is the state religion which covers 95% of its population.

Geography: Cambodia is located in the southern part of the Indochina Peninsula, bordering Thailand in the west, Laos in the northeast, Vietnam in the east and southeast, and facing the Gulf of Thailand in the south. Its landform is mostly plaine, accounting for three quarters of the total territory. The Mekong River and Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonle Sap run through the country.

Climate: Cambodia has a tropical monsoon climate with no distinct seasons, rather divided into a hot and humid rainy season and cool and comfortable dry season. The rainy season is from May to October, while the dry season is from November to April. Therefore, the most suitable time to enjoy your best Cambodia tours should be from November to January when the weather is mild, neither too hot nor too cold.

What to see: Cambodia is endowed with a long history and unique culture. The northern Siem Reap city is home to the world heritage site of Angkor Wat, the central Phnom Penh has numerous Buddhist temples, while to the west the picturesque Tonle Sap Lake offers visitors special experiences to see the floating villages, in the southern Sihanoukville, bright sunshine and white beaches are always a surprise.
