City-bus

In Wenzhou, several city bus routes play very important roles in the city's transportation. Tickets for most buses are CNY1.5. As there are no conductors on the vehicles, it is best to ensure you enough loose change prior to boarding.

The No.28 is the tourist bus. There are ten of them, all designed in classical European styles and are very comfortable with air-conditioner. They start at Nanpu Road and end at the Huanglong Residential Area between 06:00 and 24:00. The fare is CNY2 per person.

Ferry

Tourist ports/docks in the city make touring on water possible. At present, three popular water sightseeing routes are available:

Route Duration (round trip) Fare (round trip)
Nantang Dock – Aiqin Island – Sanban Bridge 30 minutes CNY40
Nantang Dock – Lucheng Dragon Boat Base 1 hour CNY88
Nantang Dock – Sanyang Wetland 3 hours CNY200

Other four ferry lines will open in a few years: East Line, West Line, South Line and Middle Ring Line. By then, 25 sightseeing docks will be in service.

Taxi

Around 3,800 taxis are serving the locals and visitors in Wenzhou around the clock. The fare differs a little between day and night.

Distance  Daytime  Night: 00:00 – 05:00 the next day
Within 3.5km (2.2mi)  CNY11  CNY11
3.5-8km (2.2-5mi)  CNY2.5/km  CNY3/km
Beyond 8km (5mi)  CNY3.8/km  CNY4.5/km

Most taxis in the city follow the above charging standard, while there are still very limited upgraded taxis. The flag-down rate is CNY11 for the first 3km (2mi) and other costs obey the above table.
