Hangzhou Metro Line 1

Hangzhou metro line 1 is the first subway put into operation. Passengers can easily travel amongst different areas of the city, like Shangcheng, Xiacheng, Xiasha and Linping Districts. The operating route of Hangzhou subway line 1 contains a main line connecting Xianghu and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport) and a branch line between Qiaosi South and Linping. Shaped like ‘Y’, it measures 65 kilometers (40 miles) and has 39 stations, passing many large passenger transfer centers/hubs, including Wulin Square, East Railway Station, Hangzhou Railway Station, Coach Center, South Bus Station and Yuhang Railway Station. In addition, Longxiangqiao is the closest metro station to the West Lake, which is the must-see of the city.
