How to Travel between Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang

There are approximately 210 kilometers (130 miles) between Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang. The best way to travel between is to take the bullet train, taking about one hour and CNY 75 - 93  if you leave from or arrive in downtown Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang long-distance buses also serve.

 To Fenghuang Ancient Town
After exiting from the Fenghuanggucheng rail station, take the bus Fenghuang High-Speed Rail Special Bus Line to Fenghuang Ancient Town directly, taking about one hour and CNY 7.
 

8 through buses from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station to Fenghuang Bus Terminal Station depart at 09:00, 09:50, 12:00, 12:30, 13:30, 15:00, 16:30 and 17:20 with a duration of 3.5-4 hours and at a cost of CNY 85.

 To Fenghuang Ancient Town
From Fenghuang Bus Terminal, passengers need to take Fenghuang Bus No. 1A to Bank of China station, which is only 120 yards from the ticket office of Fenghuang Ancient Town.

From Fenghuang Ancient Town, tourists can walk to the nearest Nanhuali bus stop and take the High-Speed Rail Special Bus Line 2 to Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station and take a Fenghuang-Zhangjiajie bullet train.
 

The distance between Wulingyuan and Fenghuang Ancient Town is about 250 kilometers (155 miles). No direct bus runs between the two spots, passengers need to take buses and trains to finish the journey.

 Step 1: Wulingyuan - Zhangjiajie Bus
Take the Wulingyuan - Zhangjiajie bus from Wulingyuan Bus Station to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station. The bus departs at 17:20 daily and takes CNY 15 and one hour. Or take a bus at Wulingyuan Bus Station to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station, which departs from 06:30 – 18:00 and takes CNY 13, then walk to the railway station on the west to take bus no. 17 to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station.
 
 Step 2: Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang Bullet Train
After, take a high speed train at Zhangjiajie West to Fenghuanggucheng Station, then transfer to the Fenghuang High-Speed Rail Special Bus Line to the ancient Town. The bus line runs from 07:30 to 22:00 daily.
