Dali Long-distance Bus

At present, there are five most commonly used long-distance bus stations in Dali, including Dali North Bus Station, Dali Bus Station, Dali Ancient City Passenger Coach Station, Dali Express Coach Station and Dali Xingsheng Bus Station. They operate buses to Kunming, Shangri-La, Lijiang, Jinghong, Baoshan, Chuxiong, Lincang, Yuxi, Puer and more within Yunnan Province. The long-distance buses can also send tourists to Chongqing and some parts of Sichuan like Chengdu, Panzhihua, and Xichang.
 

Passengers can buy Dali long-distance bus tickets 15 days in advance. Foreigners can only buy them at the manual ticket windows of the coach stations by virtue of their passports, permanent residence permit, entry-exit permit issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and temporary identity certificate issued by the Chinese public security. Children of 1.2-1.5m (3.9-4.9ft) can buy children's tickets at 50% discount. Children under 1.2m are free of charge, but they cannot occupy a seat alone.

Dali North Bus Station operates buses to Dali's counties and towns, neighboring cities and hot tourist destinations in Yunnan such as Kunming, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Butterfly Spring and Shuanglang. There are restaurants, mother and baby rooms, rest rooms and information service desk in the waiting hall, which brings great convenience to tourists. Many food shops, hotels can be found near the bus station.
