Ruoqiang Airport is located in Xita Tingrang Village, Wutamu Township, Ruoqiang County of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the county.

Without airport shuttle bus and city bus, taxi is the only way to the city center, which costs about CNY 40 and takes about 35 minutes. If you go to Ruoqiang Coach Station, it will take 30 minutes and cost CNY 26.
 

 1: Ancient City of Loulan
Located about 300 kilometers (186.5 miles) northeast of Ruoqiang County, it is one of the key cultural relics protected sites in China. Covering an area of 120,000 square meters, the ancient city and its surrounding areas has sites like ancient ruins, granaries and ancient tombs. Praised as a “treasure land buried in the desert” and “a museum left over from history”, it strongly stimulates the desire of most tourists to explore.

It is the first museum in China with the theme of Loulan culture and also is an important platform for the display of historical and cultural resources of Ancient City of Loulan, Milan Ruins and Xiaohe Cemetery. It is an important window for people to deeply understand and appreciate the history and culture of Loulan.
 
 3: Altun Mountain National Nature Reserve
The Altun Mountain Nature Reserve is the largest nature reserve in China. It is 360 kilometers (224 miles) in length and 190 kilometers (118 miles) in width with a total area of 44,940 square kilometers. The modern glaciers, plateau lakes and deserts, about 250 kinds of wild plants and a wide variety of wildlife such as Tibetan antelope, Tibetan wild donkey, and wild yak form a beautiful landscape.
 
 4: Loulan Red Jujube Ecological Garden
The Jujube Ecological Garden covers an area of 750,000 mu with more than 7.5 million plants. It is a wealth project that is carried out by Ruoqiang County relying on regional advantages and enriching natural resources. Nowadays, it has attracted many tourists.
 
 5: Lop Nur
Lop Nur is in the northeast of Ruoqiang County. Due to the shaped of human ear, it is also known as the “ear of the earth”. The amount of water has gradually reduced to none because of the climate change and water conservancy projects, and now it is only a land of large scale of salt.
