Built in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), Shaanxi Great Mosque is the biggest mosque in the city, which can hold thousands of worshipers. Unlike other mosques, it was constructed in traditional Chinese brick and wooden architecture style. Supported by 40 imposing red wooden pillars, the main hall is magnificent, with the doors and windows decorated by delicate carvings. On the archway, scripture of the Quran is exquisitely carved.

Located in Red Hill Park, the Great Buddha Temple is the largest Chinese Buddhist temple in northwest China. The most striking attraction is the golden Sakyamuni Buddha statue which is 40.8 meters (133.9 feet) high. Behind the Buddha is the main building group of the temple. The Red Hill is also a highlight in the park, from the top of which you will have a panoramic view of the city.
