Minhang District is affiliated to Shanghai, located in the central part of the city. It connects Xuhui District and Pudong New Area on the east, Fengxian District on the south, Songjiang District and Qingpu District on the west and Changning District and Jiading District on the north. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located on the edge of Minhang District. Wusong River flows through the northern part and Huangpu River runs through the whole district.  Qibao Ancient Town
Located in the southwest of Shanghai, it is a historical ancient town with beautiful natural scenery and long-standing humanistic connotations. Travelers can visit the antique buildings and have a taste of the local snacks such as Haitang Cake, Qibao Wine and Qibao Party-cream.

The best time to visit Minhang District is from May to March and from September to November. The climate in Minhang, Shanghai China belongs to the subtropical maritime monsoon climate, which is characterized by distinct four seasons, sufficient sunshine and moderate rainfalls. The annual average temperature is 22 ℃ (71.6℉). The summer from June to August is hot with a temperature from 25℃ (77℉) to 38℃ (100.4℉). Travelers can take a flight to Shanghai Pudong International Airport which is about 50 km (31 mi) from Minhang District, and then take airport express 9 to the central district. About 15 km(9.3mi)from Minhang District, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is convenient for travelers. And Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is about 20 km (12mi) from Minhang, Shanghai China. Travelers can take No.4 Hongqiao Junction Bus after getting off the plane or the train. Travelers can take trains to Shanghai South Railway Station which is only about 8 km (5mi) from Minhang District, and then take Metro Line 1 to their destinations.
 
Within the city area, Metro Line 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 22 are in service every day. Also, the public transportation system is complete, taking buses is a good choice. The taxi charges CNY 14 for the first 3 km, CNY 2.4/km for not more than 10 km, and CNY 3.6/km for subsequent distance. It costs CNY 30-40 from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, CNY 40-50 from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and CNY 20-30 from Shanghai South Railway Station to Minhang, Shanghai China.
