Changning District is located in the west of Shanghai central city and adjacent to Jing’an District on the east, Minhang District on the west, Xuhui District on the southeast and Putuo District on the north. It is one of the top neighborhoods for foreigners to stay because many foreign consulates are scattered in the district and a lot of world’s top 500 enterprises cluster there. The good location and convenient transportation between it and the two airports: Hongqiao and Pudong, make it a popular expats neighborhood. What’s more, Shanghai Zoo and the Propaganda Poster Art Centre are worth visiting.

 Shanghai Zoo
More than 400 species and 6,000 animals live in Shanghai Zoo. Among them, there are Chinese special rare animals like the world-famous giant panda, golden monkey, South-Chinese tiger and Chinese alligator as well as animals from over the world. There are opportunities to have close contact with pandas and golden monkeys. In the park, visitors may enjoy the open and wonderful landscape, especially the vast grassland and beautiful lake.

 Propaganda Poster Art Centre
It displays the propaganda posters collected by Yang Peming in private. In the past, the propaganda posters are an important media means of Chinese society at that time. Mr. Yang's collection is divided into four exhibition spaces with rich content. In addition to the posters from the 1930s to the present, there are also various types of head portraits of Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic of China, as well as statues of people holding high the Red-Bible of Chairman Mao during the Great Cultural Revolution.

 Zhongshan Park
The park is dominated by the English style natural gardening style and takes in the essence of Chinese garden art. The lawn, lake, pond, pavilion, rockery, and play zone are well arranged, forming beautiful landscapes. It is a wonderful place to relax or have a walk.

Travelers can go to Changning District Shanghai by flying to Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. Pudong Airport is 46 km (28 mi) away from Changning District. Travelers can take Metro Line 2 from Pudong Airport to Changning District, taking about 90 minutes. It takes about 40 minutes by Metro Line 2 from Hongqiao Airport to Changning Distinct Shanghai. It is also easy to access by bullet trains to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and then take Metro Line 2 to Changning District Shanghai.

Metro, buses, taxis are the major transportation methods in Changning District China. Metro Line 2, 3, 4, 10, 15 pass through Changning District. Travelers are able to take Metro Line 10 to Shanghai Zoo.
