Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport

Qingdao Jiaodong airport is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. The airport will build two parallel runways, with a length of 3,600 meters (3,937 yards) and a terminal building of 450,000 square meters (538,196 square yards). After completion, it can hold the demand of annual passenger throughput of 35 million people, In the future, it is planned to build two more runways with a length of 3,200 meters (3450 yards) and a terminal building of 700,000 square meters (837,193 square yards), which can meet the demand of annual passenger throughput of 55 million.

 Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is located in the Qiandiankou Village, Jiaozhou City, about 17.1kilometers (10 miles) away from the downtown of Jiaozhou, and about 39 kilometers (24 miles) away from the downtown of Qingdao.

 Jiaodong Airport terminal has a total of 6 floors with two underground floors. The outlook of the terminal will be like a starfish and the distance to the boarding gates is much shortened.

 1: Rail Transit
In the second half of 2020, the northern section of Metro Line 8 will be opened to traffic, and the arrival time will be 35 minutes from Qingdao North Railway Station to Jiaodong Airport. By the end of 2021, the Metro Line 8 will be fully opened to traffic. And then the travel time from Wusi Square to Jiaodong Airport will be about 50 minutes.
 
 2: Airport Express and City Bus:
The 12 planned airport express lines will cover the districts of Xihai’an, Hongdao. Chengyang, Jimo, Pingdu, Laixi and other districts with stops of Fuxin Building, Qingdao Railway Station, Sifang Long-distance Coach Station and Expo Park. Besides, 6 city bus lines will be opened to connect the airport and downtown. 
 
 3: Long-Distance Airport Shuttle Bus
It will open 28 long-distance airport shuttle buses from Jiaodong Airport to Dongying, Zibo, Weifang, Rizhao, Yantai, Weihai and other cities.
 

Qingdao Liuting Airport is located in Liuting Street, Chengyang District of Qingdao City in Shandong Province, about 23 kilometers (14.3 miles) from the center of Qingdao, Flights run to/ from 106 cities in this airport, including domestic destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Hefei, Xiamen, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Fuzhou and Guilin… International destinations include London, Inchon, Los Angel, Osaka, Sydney, Vancouver, Melbourne and Moscow…
