How to Travel Between Dalian and Harbin

Dalian is about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) south from Harbin. Currently, there is no direct flight between the two cities and only two ways of transfer are available: high speed train and normal speed train. The best and fastest way is high speed train, spending 3 to 5.5 hours and costing CNY403.5 to CNY1,283.5 for a single trip. The travel time of normal speed train is 10 to 13 hours and a hard sleeper ticket costs CNY230. They can help you save some accommodation expenses. But because of the poor frequency, it is suggested to book tickets in advance.

 

How to Travel from Dalian to Harbin

It is highly recommended to take high speed train from Dalian to Harbin. Each day 22 high speed trains depart Dalian North Railway Station to Harbin West Railway Station/ City Railway Station. They are in operation during 05:49 to 19:03. Travel duration is about 3.5 to 5 hours and a single trip costs at least CNY403.5.
