Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport

Brief Intro: To construct Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport, an artificial island will be built in Jinzhou Bay. Dalian Jinzhouwan Airport will be the only airport built on the water in China and will be the largest seadrome in the world. Jinzhouwan Airport is scheduled to be opened in 2020. According to the plan, it will build a terminal building with an area of 400 thousand square meters (600 mu), two runways with a length of 3.6 kilometers (2 miles) for both and a width of 70 meters (76.5 yards) and 60 meters (65.5 yards) separately. The international hall will be set in the middle of the terminal and the domestic hall will be set on the two sides. After construction, it can serve 20 million passengers every year. In the later period, the terminal building will be expanded into 700 thousand square meters (1050 mu) and another 2 runways will be built in the future. After completion, it will be 6 times larger than Zhoushuizi International Airport and release the burden of Zhoushuizi Airport.

Location: Located in Jinzhou Bay, Ganjinzi District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, Dalian Jinzhouwan Airport is 25 kilometers (15 miles) away from downtown Dalian and 18 kilometers (11 miles) to Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport.

Transportation:
The extension part of Dalian metro line 1 is in the plan and Dalian metro line 5 is under construction. Both these two lines can arrive at the airport at that time. Metro line 5 is planned to open in 2023. Passengers will be able to take the two metro lines to downtown Dalian, Jinpu New District and Lushunkou District. Besides, the airport will also equipped with convenient shuttle buses, public buses and taxis.
 

How to Travel to Dalian at present time

By Air

Now, tourists can fly to Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport which is only 10 kilometers (6 miles) to the city proper. Now it has flights to/from many international cities including Bangkok, Dubai, Hiroshima, Kuala Lumpur, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Osaka, Paris, Phuket, San Francisco, Sendai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo… and most major domestic cities such as Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Harbin, Hangzhou, Harbin, Sanya, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Xi'an…
After arrival, visitors can take airport shuttle bus, taxi, metro line 2 and city bus line 9, 46, 532, 701, 710, 905, 908 to other places in the city.
 

By Train

There are two railway stations in the city, Dalian Railway Station and North Railway Station.
1. Dalian Railway Station is in Qingniwaqiao Commercial District. It operates both ordinary trains and high speed trains. The high speed trains ther can take passengers to/from Beijing, Shanghai Hongqiao, Shenyang, Jilin and Changchun. The normal train can arrive at Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Harbin, Jilin, Changchun…
If you want to travel to other places, convenient taxis, metro line 3 and city bus line 7, 13, 30, 31, 39, 50, 101, 201, 408, 414, 521, 525, 531, 541, 909, 939, Dalian-Development Zone line, Dalian-Xiajiahezi line are all available.

2. Dalian North Railway Station is 20 kilometers (12 miles) to the downtown area which operates mainly bullet trains to Beijing, Harbin, Jilin, Shenyang, Changchun, Jinan, Tongliao, Suzhou, Shanghai, Xi’an …
To travel to other places, tourists can take taxi and city bus line 1, 8, 518, 909, Dalian North Railway Station – Fujiaxincheng Line, Lugang wuliu – Xinxing lucheng Line, Dalian Bay – Jiefang Road Line and Dalian Railway Station – Development Zone Line.
 

By Ship

Passengers from Yantai, Weihai, Tianjin, Penglai, Incheon and Korea can arrive at Dalian Port by ship directly.
