Siping Airport
Siping Airport is a military airport now. The extension of it is still in the plan. The time to open up flights is also unknown. Siping Airport will be an airport for both military and civilian use after completion. In the future, Siping Airport will build an airport terminal building with an area of 5,000 square meters (6,000 square yards) and 4 aircraft stands. The supporting facilities will include freight transport, parking lot and other basic facilities. The construction period will be about 4 years. Siping Airport will open flights to most major domestic cities in China and mainly serve for the southwest part of Jilin Province.
Location: Siping Airport will be constructed in Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, northeast of Siping City, Jilin Province. And it will be about 80 kilometers (50 miles) to Siping City and about 60 kilometers (37 miles) to Changchun City, the capital city of Jilin Province.
About 21 kilometers (13 miles) to the city area of Changchun, Changchun Airport is presently connected to over 50 domestic cities such as Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming, Nanjing, Sanya, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Xiamen… and serves international flights to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Sendai, Nagoya, Vladivostok and Irkutsk.
1. Transfer at Changchun Railway Station
Upon landing, take airport shuttle bus line 1 to North Coach Station, then walk east about 5 minutes to Changchun Railway Station. The bus operates from 08:00 to 24:00 with a frequency of 30 minutes and a fare of CNY 25/person. Or take airport shuttle bus line 3 which runs from 08:00 to 15:00 to Kaixuelu Coach Station. Then walk east for about 3 minutes.
The trains leaving for Siping Railway Station from Changchun Railway Station have over 50 trains every day operating 24 hours. The duration is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The ticket fares are CNY 16.5 – 18.5/person for hard seat and standing-room-only ticket, CNY 62.5 – 64.5/person for hard sleeper and CNY 95.5 – 97.5/person for soft sleeper.
The trains leaving for Siping East High-speed Railway Station run from 06:05 to 20:25 with 17 trains each day. The travel time is about 35 minutes. The fares are CNY 59.5/person for second class seat, CNY 95.5/person for first class seat and CNY 188.5/person for business class seat.
2. Transfer at Changchun West Railway Station
Take airport shuttle bus line 1 to Nanguan, then transfer to metro line 2 to West Railway Station. Metro line 2 operates every 10 minutes from 06:06 to 21:40.
All the trains setting out from Changchun West Railway Station arrive at Siping East Railway Station. The trains run from 07:05 to 19:32 with more than 35 trains each day with a duration of about 30 minutes. Ticket fare of a second class seat is CNY 53.5/person, a first class seat is CNY 86.5/person, and a business class seat is CNY 102.5/person.
