Wuxi presently has three metro lines in operation: line 1 runs between Nanfangquan and Yanqiao, line 2 connects Meiyuan Kaiyuan Temple in the west and Anzhen in the east and line 3 links Sumiao and Shuofang Airport. As per the long-term plan, another 4 metro lines will be constructed by 2050, when the subway system shall stretch over 124mi (200km).

 Line 1: Yanqiao – Nanfangquan
Total Length: 19mi (30km)

 Line 2: Meiyuan Kaiyuan Temple – Anzhen

 Line 3: Sumiao – Shuofang Airport
Total Length: 18mi (28.5km)
Route: Sumiao – Qianqiao – Longshanshao – Shimen Road – Sheng’an – Wuqiao – Beishankou Sanyuan – Wuxi Railway Station – Guangrui – Jinghai – Dongfeng – Xufeng – Taihu Garden – Xinguang Road – Wangzhuang Road – Huangshan Road – East Gaolang Road – Zhoujingxiang – Wuxi New District – South Changjiang Road – Sunan Shuofang Airport
 

Subway Ticket

 Ticket Fare:
It varies from the distance: CNY2 within 3mi (5km); CNY3 for 3-6mi (5-10km); CNY4 for 6-9mi (10-15km); CNY5 for 9-14mi (15-22km), and CNY6 for 14-18mi (22-29km). When the journey covers more than 18mi (29km), another CNY1 is required for each additional 5.6mi (9km). For the operational metro line 1 and line 2, the charge ranges from CNY2 to CNY6, and the maximum cost with interchange between them is CNY7.

 Ticket Types:
1. Single Journey Ticket: the cost depends on the distance.
2. Wuxi Citizen Card: offering 5% discount.
3. Jiangsu Public Transportation Card: offering 5% discount.

 Line 4: Taoyuan New Village – Yingyuehu Park

 Line 5: Lihu Park – Xuemei Road

Apart from the rail transit above, two intercity subway lines are planned to be constructed in the future to connect Jiangyin and Yixing.
 S1: It shall start from the Bund of Jiangyin in the north and end at Wuxi in the south. The metro line is expected to connect with East Railway Station and Shuofang Airport.
 S2: As planned, the line shall extend around 42mi (67km) and operate between Sumiao in the city and Dingshu in Yixing.
