Nantong Subway

Currently, there is no subway service in Nantong. However, the plans include 8 metro lines, with a total length of 201 miles (324 kilometers). Nantong metro lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 will serve the city proper. Lines R1, R2, R3, and R4, extending 95 miles (153 kilometers) in length, will stretch to the suburban areas. As planned, the first phase of metro line 1 between West Railway Station and Zhenxing Road and the first phase of line 2 between Xingfu Town and Xianfeng Town will be constructed first. They are expected to open to the public in 2020.
