Hohhot Baita International Airport

Location: Hohhot Baita International Airport is located about 9 miles (14 kilometers) to the east of the city, and 3.5 miles (5.5 kilometers) from the famous Ten Thousand Huayan Scriptures Pagoda. The pagoda is also called White Pagoda, Baita in Chinese; hence the airport got the name. In addition, the airport is 5 miles (8 kilometers) away from local East Railway Station, and 11 miles (17 kilometers) from the West Railway Station.

Brief Intro: The airport was first built in 1958 and has been expanded several times. Presently 31 airlines are operating international and domestic flights here with over 130 air routes, connecting with many cities/areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changchun, Xi'an, Haikou, Hong Kong, Taipei and Taichung.
 

Hohhot Airport only has one terminal building, which covers an area of around 13.5 acres (5.5 hectares). It consists of a main building, corridors and bridges, and is divided into two floors: 1F serves as Arrival Hall and 2F as Departure Hall. 10 domestic and 2 international check-in channels are equipped. Cafes, restaurants and other stores here provide great convenience for passengers. In addition, 12 VIP lounges are set on 1F, and 9 first-class lounges on 2F.
