Best Way to Travel between Changsha and Fenghuang

The distance between Changsha and Fenghuang is approximately 450km (280mi). The most convenient and fastest way to travel between the two cities is taking bullet trains. Long-distance buses also serve passengers with 2 departures daily. At Fenghuang Bus Terminal Station, passengers can take a convenient city bus to Fenghuang Ancient Town.

Take a high speed train from Changsha to Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station, then transfer to the Fenghuang High Speed Rail Bus Line to Nanhuali.
 Take a long-distance bus from Changsha to Fenghuang Terminal Bus Station, then transfer to bus no. 1A to Bank of China. Or take bus no. 1 and get off at People's Insurance Company (Renbao Gongsi).
 From Fenghuang Ancient Town, walk to Nanhuali bus tops to take the Fenghuang High Speed Rail Line to Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station. Take a Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie West high speed train, taking about one hour and CNY 75 - 93.

Beside Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, there stands Zhangjiajie High Speed Rail Bus Station operating direct buses to Wulingyuan with an interval of 10-15 minutes. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes and costs CNY 13.

To Tianmen Mountain, tourists  can take city bus no. 17 to Wuling Natural Specialties Tourism Shopping Mall which is close to the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car Station, taking CNY 2 and one hour.
