Where to Go in Wuhan in July

The best place to visit in hot July should be Wuhan Haichang Polar Ocean World which is a large theme park suitable for both adults and kids. Covering an area of 60,000 square meters (15 acres), the park takes a shape of a white whale. Inside the park, tourists can see various kinds of animals including dolphins, manatees, sea lions, penguins, seals, false killer whales, white whales, walrus, and polar bears. Besides, both wonderful animal performances and clown acrobatic performances are provided here to entertain tourists.

Another good place to visit in summer should be the East Lake Bathing Beach which covers an area of 70,000 square meters (17 acres) and can hold 3,000 - 5,000 visitors at one time. As the largest inland bathing beach in China, it provides visitors a chance to play in the sands, drink coffee, go swimming, and play beach football and volleyball.

Other Tips

Special attention should be paid to skin protection. It is advisable to wear sunglasses, hats, sunscreen cream, and bring a parasol, or wear sun-proof clothing. If traveling with babies, visitors are advised to take a portable stroller to avoid carrying sleepy babies in arms on hot days. Traveling by public transport can be very convenient, so tourists need some change for buying bus or subway tickets.
