It is located at the west side of south gate of Yu County of Zhangjiakou, established in the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534). The Tower of Nan’an Temple is a solid brick tower listed as a key cultural relic under state protection of China in 2001. It used to be in Nan’an Temple so that it is called the Tower of Nan’an Temple, but the temple was destroyed and the tower remained. The integral shape of the tower is elegant and the body is full of exquisite sculptures like animal heads and lotuses from the top to the bottom. Especially, every tier of the tower has four bronze mirrors on the four corners.
