Kaili Huangping Airport

As a 4C standard civil airport, Kaili Airport opened to traffic on October 2, 2013.The airport covers an area of 2,400 acres. It has a runway of 2,600 meters (2843 yards), a terminal of 3,829 square meters ( 4579 square yards), 3 aircraft stands, parking lots, sewage treatment station, some aviation facilities and other supporting facilities.
 Kaili Huangping airport is located in Huangping County, Kaili City of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. It is 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) away from Huangping County, and 54 kilometers (34 miles) away from Kaili city.

Take the Huangping Airport – Zhenyuan Coach Station shuttle bus, which departs at 08:30, 09:30, 14:00, 15:00 and 18:30 from the airport. It takes 1 hour and 10 minutes and costs CNY 30. Then transfer to the Zhenyuan city bus line 2 at Zhenyuan Coach Station and get off at Zhenyuan County Hospital, then walk about 265 meters (290 yards) to Zhenyuan Ancient Town. The travel time is about 25 minutes and the fare is CNY 2.
 

 1: Zhenyuan Ancient Town
The Ancient Town is surrounded by mountains, and a river passes through the town in the shape of “S”, so it looks like a Taiji Map from a distance. There are more than 160 ancient buildings, traditional houses and historical wharves. For a long time, Central Plains Culture, Local National Culture and Foreign Cultures have infiltrated and mingled with each other here, forming a unique inclusive culture, so it is also called “Traditional Culture Maze”. Famous scenic spots include Qinglong Cave, Tianhou Palace, Wuwang Cave, Shiping Mountain, Tiexi River and Gaoguo River.  2: Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village
Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, located in the northeast of Leishan County, is 36 kilometers (22 miles) away from the county and 35 kilometers (21 miles) away from Kaili City. It is the largest Miao village in China and even the world. Here we can get to know the history, culture and development of the Miao Nationality in China. Xijiang silversmiths are well-known for their craftsmanship, so Miao silver ornaments are all handmade. The village mainly includes Miao Culture Museum, Miao Village Buildings, Wind-rain Bridges, Xijiang Night View and other scenic spots.
