How to Travel Between Guilin and Longsheng

Guilin as a provincial capital and Longsheng as a town both belong to Guangxi province, and the distance from Guilin to Longsheng is about 110 kilometers (69 miles) in all. Since Longsheng is in the mountainous area, the transportation is limited. For no railway station in Longsheng, the best way to travel between the two cities is to take long-distance bus, which takes 1.5 – 2 hours and CNY 37-60. Taking a taxi is much more convenient for 3.5 hours, but the price is correspondingly higher as CNY 250 – 400. Inside the Longji Terraces, traveling by foot is more popular there that one can appreciate the beautiful and unique scenery on the way.

 Alternatively, passengers can choose to travel by car, but it usually requires passengers to negotiate the destination, route and price with the driver before. Foreign visitors can also download the Hailing Car Apps popular in China such as Didi and Caocao to make an order ahead of time.
 → Take the airport shuttle bus to Guilin North Bus Station, taking 80 minutes and CNY25.
→ At the bus station, take the bus to Longsheng Bus Terminal.
→ From Longsheng Bus Station, walk southward, cross the river to Xinglong West Rd. Intersection, and take the bus line Longsheng-Heping and get off at Heping Station. After, walk southward to the entrance od the scenic spot.
