Guangxi lies on the low latitude, adjacent to South China Sea to the south, so it has relatively higher temperature. The yearly average temperature is above 20℃ (68℉) in most of its areas, and plain and valley areas are hotter than the high altitude mountainous places. Guangxi weather is also characterized by clear rain and dry seasons, as the warm and wet monsoon from sea and the cold air from the north control the region in turn. As a whole, the rainfall there is quite great, with the annual precipitation of 1,300-2,000 mm. Coastal and mountains areas are often windy.

Hubei Climate - Seasons & Travel Advice

As for the seasons, Guangxi China weather is featured with long, hot and rainy summer. Climatically, the summer in Guangxi may last for 4-6 months, and the southerner, the summer is longer. The winter in Guangxi is a little dryer relatively with less rainfalls, but the humidity doesn’t change much. In coastal area, the winter might last for only two months. May and June are the months with the most rainfalls.
 

Spring (Mar - mid-Apr)

It’s warm and wettish in spring in Guangxi. Meanwhile, the rain season begins, and the rainfall in May is pretty great. Li River, Longji Rice Terraces, Ten-Mile Gallery, etc. are the best landscapes to enjoy the spring. Double Third Day, on the third day of the third month of Chinese lunar calendar, is the grandest folk festival you can witness in spring in Guangxi, on which you may experience the folk customs and listen to the folk songs of Zhuang nationality.

Summer (mid-Apr - Sep)

The summer temperature is around 31℃ (88℉) averagely in the daytime in Guangxi. However, the summer is in the rainy season, so the rainfall during the time is greatly large. Tropical cyclones may attack the coastal places at the same time, so give attention to Guangxi weather forecast constantly if you plan to travel there in summer. To seek for coolness, you can go cruising on Li River, rafting on Yulong River, or have fun on Weizhou Island or Beihai Silver Beach. Mosquito-repellent spray and anti-bug balm are necessities.

Autumn (Oct - Nov)

Guangxi weather is quite cool and comfortable in autumn. Apart from the autumn scenery, folk activities themed on the harvest are also the highlights in this season in Guangxi. Longji Rice Terraces and Huangyao Ancient Town with celebrations for the harvest, golden sea of Gingko Forest of Haiyang Town, Gudong Waterfall Scenic Area, Mingshi Holiday Resort, etc. are also unmissable.

Winter (Dec - Feb)

Guangxi weather from December to February can be summarized to be humid and cold, but not frozen. The average temperature in winter is 6~15℃ (43~59℉) in whole Guangxi. The northern area may be sleeting or snowy lightly sometimes, however, the coast in the south has never snowed. You may see some rimes in Guangxi during the months. Jinshu Bay Mangroves, Sliver Beach and Weizhou Island with warm climate are recommended in winter.
