Tianhe District, Guangzhou

Under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, Tianhe District is located in the eastern part of Guangzhou. It is connected to Huangpu District in the east, Yuexiu District in the west, Baiyun District in the north, and Haizhu District in the south. Tianhe Distract is the new city center of Guangzhou. Travelers can visit the landmark buildings such as Guangzhou International Finance Center and Guangzhou Opera House, go shopping in Tianhe Road, and taste local food such as steamed vermicelli roll, trotter noodles and oyster porridge. It is also one of the best neighborhoods to stay for first-time travelers to Guangzhou.

Tianhe District is rich in tourism attractions including Guangzhou World Grand, South China Botanical Garden, Guangdong Museum, Lu Lake, Tianhe Park and so on. You may need 1-2 days for Tianhe District travelling.
 

 Go to Guangzhou World Grand
It is a large-scale integrated playground that combines folk customs, classical architecture and natural landscapes together. There are a variety of garden art, catering and festivals from 98 countries. The amusement and performance projects last up to 12 hours a day which makes travelers linger in it.
 

 View South China Botanical Garden
It is rich in plant resources and is praised as the “Southern China Emerald”. Longdongqilin is one of the most representative spots, and one of the “Eight Spots in Guangzhou”. The whole landscape is naturally harmonious and refreshing.
 

 Visit Guangdong Museum
The exhibition is divided into three parts: Guangdong history & culture, art and nature. Travelers can not only watch the collection of cultural relics, but also learn about its background history and cultural connotation.
 

 Go Shopping
Tianhe Road around Sports Center is a business cluster like Beijing Road and Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. The shopping malls including The Asia No.1 shopping center - Grandview Plaza, Teemall and TaiKoo offer travelers a great chance to go shopping.

The best time to visit Tianhe District Guangzhou is from October to December. The climate in Tianhe District belongs to the maritime subtropical monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is about 23°C (73℉).
 

The temperatures from January to March and November to December are below 20°C (68℉), and the remaining months are maintained at 23-29°C (74-84℉). The highest temperature in Tianhe District is 37°C (99℉). Heavy rains are mainly concentrated in the summer and autumn from April to September.

Travelers can take a flight to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport first which is about 45km (28 mi) from Tianhe District, and then take airport express line 2b or No.10 airport bus. They can also choose to take trains to Guangzhou South Railway Station, and then take bus to Tianhe District. At the same time, there are large-scale bus stations such as Tianhe Bus Passenger Transport Station, Dongpu Bus Station and Tianhe Building Bus Station, travelers can also choose to travel by bus.

Within the city area, Metro Line 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, Apm and Bus Rapid Transit are available. Taking buses is another good choice. The taxi charges CNY 12 for the first 3 km and CNY 2.6/km for subsequent distance. The taxi charges about CNY75-85 from Guangzhou South Railway Station and CNY120-130 from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Tianhe District.
