Best Time to Visit Xiapu

The best time to visit Xiapu is from April to November. The annual average temperature in Xiapu Fujian ranges from 17C(62F) to 23C(73F) , Rainy day is frequent in spring, from January to April and rainstorms and typhoon can be seen in the summer of Xiapu, July to August. The climate is fairly mild in winter.

But for photographers, they can produce excellent works there all year round.

 April to June: It is suitable for shooting fisherman working scenes when the people harvest kelp and catch fry. Also, the rhododendron bloom in the Taimu Mount on April is worth seeing.

 June to August: Summer is the season of typhoons when the clouds are particularly brilliant, especially the sunset clouds.

Transportation

Travelers can fly to Fuzhou Changle International Airport and Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport then take shuttle buses to Xiapu with about 2.5 hours. Visitors from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinan, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Fuzhou, and Xiamen can take direct bullet trains to Xiapu. Also, it takes 1 hour by bullet trains from Fuzhou City to Xiapu. 

In Xiapu, buses and taxis are the two main methods of transportation. It costs about 10 to 15 yuan from the city center to the railway station. Because the county is smaller, people tend to take tricycles and motorcycles. It takes 500-600/day to rent a car and employ a guide who will take you to the best places to shoot.

Best Xiapu Food to Try

The Fish Ball, Black Rice, Sweet Potato Cup-Shaped Cake, Seafood Fired Rice-Flour Noodles, and Light Soup Noodle are the local snacks as well as the best Xiapu food to try.
