Sanfang Qixiang

Visiting Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys) must be the top thing to do in Fuzhou. Initiated in Jin Dynasty (265 - 420 AD) and prospered in Ming (1368 - 1644 AD) and Qing (1644 - 1911 AD) Dynasties, it is a historical block composed of three lanes, seven alleys and the axis Nanhou Street. Preserving more than 270 ancient houses, it has been regarded as the “Architecture Museum of the Ming and Qing Dynasties”. You may walk around there to appreciate the ancient architectures and explore multiple former residences of historical celebrities. West Lake Park

Located in the northwest of the urban Fuzhou, West Lake Park is Fuzhou’s oldest and best protected classical garden with a history of more than 1,700 years. In 282 AD in the Jin Dynasty (265 - 420 AD), the lake was dug in order to draw the water of northwestern hills to irrigate the farmland. For the lake was in the west of the city at that time, it was named West Lake. Tourists may stroll on the lakeside walkway to see the fine trees and flowers, old pavilions and lush islets. There are also a dyke full of willows waving in the wind. On each Dragon Boat Festival, an exciting dragon boat race will be held there, which is also a highlight in Fuzhou.

Overlook Fuzhou City on Zhenhai Tower

Zhenhai Tower, over 600 years old, is one of the most famous towers in China. Situated on the top of Mt. Ping, it was the highest and the right north point of ancient Fuzhou city. It was destroyed and rebuilt for many times in history. The Zhenhai Tower nowadays is 31.3 meters (102.7 feet) high with a 10-meter (32.8 feet) stylobate. Gushan Mountain

Gushan Mountain is a Buddhist resort in the eastern suburb of Fuzhou. There is a large flat rock looking like a drum, and the rain drops on it sounds like the tum of a drum as well, hence the name Gushan, literally meaning drum mountain. After climbing up the ancient long steps, you would arrive at the Yongquan Temple on hillside, the main scenic spot in Gushan Mountain as well as the best Buddhist temple in Fujian with grand halls and rare Buddhist relics. Yushan Mountain

Night Cruise on Minjiang River

Minjiang River is the longest river in Fujian Province. At night, the river is like a colorful ribbon decorated by neon lights on both banks.
