Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport

Location: Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport is about 7 miles (12 kilometers) from Quanzhou and Shishi, and 5 miles (8 kilometers) from downtown Jinjiang, located at no. 118, Middle Heping Road of the city. 

Brief Intro: Originally built as early as 1955, Quanzhou Airport initially acted as a military airport. Since 1996 it has been serving as a civil aviation airport. Although the airport is not large, it operates flights to some famous domestic metropolises like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, as well as a number of international destinations like Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.

The airport has two connected terminal buildings. The old one has been in service since 1996 and now is used as Domestic Terminal, while the new one started to operate since late 2012 as the International Terminal. There are 15 Boarding Gates in operation. All guiding signs for arrival, departure and transfer are clearly marked both in Chinese and English.

 Boarding Tips:
1. The boarding gate is closed 30 minutes before the flight schedules. Passengers are suggested to arrive at the airport ahead of 1.5-2 hours.
2. The self-service check-in machines are available at the departure hall of both terminal buildings, and the check-in service is open 2 hours in advance.
