Jinjiang China is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province and is managed by Quanzhou. It lies on the southeast coast of Fujian Province, southeast of Quanzhou and south bank of Jinjiang River. With strong and comprehensive strength of science and technology, it ranks top 100 in China. Best Time to Visit Jinjiang

The best time to visit Jinjiang is autumn and early winter, from September to November. The climate in Jinjiang belongs to the subtropical marine monsoon climate. At most time, it is warm. The summer from June to August is not so hot, and the winter from December to February is short and not cold. The temperature in autumn is higher than in spring. Spring and summer are rather rainy than autumn and winter. The hottest month is July and the coldest month is January. The annual average temperature is 18-20℃ (64.4-68 ℉).
 

Due to its special geographic location, catastrophic weather such as typhoon, heavy rain, flood, happens in summer sometimes.

Transportation

Jinjiang is about 23 kilometers from Quanzhou and 191 kilometers from the capital city of Fujian Province. Travelers can take a flight to Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport to Jinjiang. At the same time, many high speed trains from Fuzhou to Jinjiang are in service now, taking about 1h30m.
 
There are 2 lines of Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport buses to Jinjiang City, the ticket price is CNY4-5. There is no metro in Jinjiang right now, but it is under planning. You can take buses and take taxies to the downtown area. The bus ticket fare is CNY1-2. The taxi charges CNY 9 for the first 3 km and CNY 2/km for subsequent distance. It will charge CNY15-20 from the airport to the city center, taking about 15mins. And it will charge CNY 40-60 from the railway station to the city center, taking 40mins.
 
Jinjiang Long-distance Bus Station is located at Quan'an Middle Road. Now, it has opened many bus routes to Huai’an, Suqian, Changzhou, Gaoyou, Jiangdu, Wuxi and other places. In the city, you can take Bus 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 15, 20, K001, K002, K005, K006, K007, K010 to get to the station.

Best Jinjiang Food to Try

As a coastal city, Jinjiang is rich in aquatic products including striped bass, squid and a wide variety of seafood. There are some local food including Majia Soup, oyster cake, sweet potatoes, Bamboo Shoot Worm Jelly and so on.
 
 Longhu Striped Bass:
It is not only tasty and sweet, but also has an effect of strengthening the body and enriching the blood. The local chef cooks it with a few slices of ginger, the soup is milky white. It is a precious tonic.

 Yakou Peanuts:
when harvesting, the farmers choose the full peanuts, wash then cook them with salt in boiling water, and thoroughly dry them in the sun. The peanut kernels are crispy, salty and delicious.

 Dried Fish Fillets:
most of them are used as ingredients. When people eat rice noodle soup, sesame rice or salted porridge, they will add it. It is chewy and tastes very delicious.

 Majia Soup:
mix sturgeon meat and sweet potato powder together, then put them into boiling water, thicken with starch and sprinkle with fried onion.

 Bamboo Shoot Worm Jell:
boil the bamboo shoots in the well water until they become viscous, then put them into small bowl, cool them.
