Fuqing Transportation

Fuqing is about 60 km (37 mi) from the capital city of Fujian Province, Fuzhou City. Since there is no airport available itself, the best way to get to Fuqing is transferring in Fuzhou. Travelers can take a coach and high speed train to access. For transportation within the city area, there is no subway yet, and the main way of transportation depends on buses and taxis.
 

There is no airport in Fuqing City, and the nearest one is the Changle Airport in Fuzhou City, which is about 50 km (31 mi) to Fuqing. You can take a flight to Fuzhou and then transfer to Fuqing. 9 airport bus lines are operating between Fuzhou Changle Airport and different locations of Fuqing, including Fuqing Rui Xin Hotel, Fuqing Longshan, Gaoshan, Sanshan, Longtian, Jiangyin, Xincuo and Yuxi. It takes about 1-2 hours and the bus fare is from CNY30-60 due to different locations. The most commonly shuttle bus line to Fuqing downtown area is the Rui Xin Hotel Line.

Several high speed and normal speed trains are from/to Fuqing Railway Station. At present, there are about 20 pairs of high speed trains operating between Fuzhou/Fuzhou South Station and Fuqing with at most 30 minutes for a single way. What’s more, there one pair of bullet train G325/G324 running between Beijing South and Fuqing for about 9.5 hours and 3 high speed trains from Shanghai Hongqiao to Fuqing with about 5-7 hours.
 

Passengers can take a coach from Fuzhou Huawei Station or West Bus Station to Fuqing, with the earliest bus from 7:30 to the latest bus at 20:30. The travel time is about 1 hour and the fare is around CNY20.
 

The bus line 801 connects two famous scenic areas of Fuqing, Shizhu Mountain and Five-horse Mountain. For travelers who want to visit Shizhu Mountain, it can be very easy to get by taking bus line 801.

It is the latest bus line in the city, operating from 17:00 to 23:05. It connects Fuqing Railway Station and the downtown area, very convenient for passengers who arrive/depart at night.

Bus Line 823 just runs straight on the main avenue of the city, passing through the most prosperous area of Fuqing. The city center, International Convention Center and Wanda shopping area are all on its route. By the way, it is also a good route for seeing the city’s night views.
 

The flag-down fare of local taxis are CNY8 within 3 km, and CNY1.8/ km for subsequent distance. However, it is not always charged by the taxi meter. For travelers, it is better to bargain the price with the driver in advance or use the Chinese cab-hailing app, DiDi, whose fare may be fairer. Generally, from Fuqing Railway Station to the city center, it takes about CNY30 by taxi.
