Beijing Train

Travelling to Beijing by train cannot be more convenient. As the busiest rail transport hub in China, Beijing has eight main train stations and many railway trunks passing through, leading to almost every corner of the country. It takes no more than 6h to Shanghai and 10h to Guangzhou by high-speed train. Intercity trains to Tianjin only take 30-50min. In addition, international trains bound for Moscow, Ulaanbaatar, Pyongyang and Hanoi depart from the Beijing Railway Station, and the trains to Hong Kong leave from West Railway Station.

The busy rail transportation makes it difficult to get tickets, especially during major holidays such as Chinese New Year and National Day, when it is highly recommended that passengers book tickets through an agency like TravelChinaGuide, or purchase tickets at railway stations or Beijing Train Ticket Offices as early as possible.
