Beijing Subway Line 15

The first section of Beijing subway line 15 was opened in 2010, running from Wangjingxi to Houshayu. With subsequent years of construction, line 15 has now become an important metro artery traversing the north of Beijing. It starts from the Qinghua Donglu Xikou in Haidian District in the southwest, passes through Chaoyang District, and ends at Fengbo Station in Shunyi District in the northeast, serving Xueyuan Road, Beijing Olympic Park, and Wangjing Area, and connecting the downtown Beijing to the Shunyi New Town in the northeast.

Beijing subway line 15 is 41.4 km (25.7 mi) long and has 20 stations. The train runs at a maximum speed of 100 km (62 mi) per hour, and a single trip of the entire line takes about one hour.

As planned, line 15 will be extended west to pass the Tsinghua University, Yuanmingyuan Park, and finally reach the Xiyuan Station. Also, it will be extended east from Fengbo to Yangzhen Town in the future.
