Beijing International Sculpture Park, covering about 0.63 sq mi, is the largest sculpture theme park in this city. The park is established to collect and display the sculpture art at home and abroad. So far, the park has gathered over 180 sculpture masterpieces from over 40 countries, including statues, relief and frescos. These masterpieces are mainly laid out in the eastern park and the western park presents a quiet rural landscape.

Next to Shijingshan Gymnasium, Shijingshan Amusement Park is really a relaxing place for adults and entertaining place for children. It is honored as the Beijing Disneyland due to the modern construction style of the European gardens. Here children can experience the castle from the story of Cinderella. The Russian style fast-food restaurant and England style London Tower Bridge can be found as well. Some entertaining activities, such as strategic defense initiative (SDI), the world of movies, spacecraft, satellite bungee and others, are equipped for tourists. Additionally, since the park was expanded, another two theme amusement zones had been added: Fantastic Zone and Adventure Zone. In a word, this park is a paradise for those who are fond of playing.

Beijing Eunuch Culture Exhibition Hall was originally the tomb of Tian Yi, the favorite eunuch of the Shenzong Emperor in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The exhibition hall, covering 6,000 square meters (about 7,176 sq yd), is delicately constructed. Two giant columns stand in the front of the tomb accompanied by a warrior minister and a civilian. And there are three pavilions in the grave yard. The epigraphy of the middle pavilion is the content of a decree that the Emperor then appointed Tian Yi to guard Nanjing and the east and west pavilions are carved with the life record and achievement of Tian Yi. Xiande Memorial Temple, linked to Tian Yi’s tomb, consists of the gate, columns, Lingxing Gate, tablet pavilion and the main hall. Generally, Beijing Eunuch Culture Exhibition Hall reveals the mysterious life of the eunuch in the feudalist society.

China Quaternary Glacier Exhibition Hall is the only museum displaying the glacier sites in the world. The museum not only tells people the knowledge of the earth and geology, but also provides a condition for the geological experts to do research. In the exhibition hall, tourists could learn of the basic knowledge of quaternary glacier, some works on quaternary glacier created by Li Siguang (a well-known Geologist of China) and the present research results about quaternary glacier. Meanwhile, most of the exhibitions are the photos and materials of the glacier sites as well as some stone samples in that period. Here you would know more about the development of the world’s geology and climate.
