Occupying an area of 56,000 square meters (67,000 square yards), Wuhu Train Station mainly contains 4 parts: west and east station building with elevated waiting halls, west and east station square.

Passengers can take bullet trains at east station building which has ticket office with 9 wickets together at both sides of the entrance. The west station building which includes 3 platforms and 5 tracks is mainly for normal speed trains. Through the underground channel below the east station square, passengers can leave the station by taxi at the exit or by bus at west station square. The west station square is an integrated transportation hub for bus stops, taxi stands, and coach stations.
