Sanya Railway Station

Sanya Railway Station is the southernmost train station in the country. It is about 2.5 miles (4 km) from Mingzhu Square, and 5.5 miles (8.8 km) from the Sanya Phoenix International Airport. Due to its particular geographical location (a city in an island province), trains from Sanya are quite different with other stations. At present, trains from there can reach Haikou and Beijing. Except train Z201/202 from/to Beijing and train Z385/386 to/from Changchun via Yuehai Railway, all the trains Sanya railway station operates are high speed type running within the island.

The bus stop is located in front of the station square. To the southwest side of the station, lies Sanya General Bus Station. From Sanya Train Station one can travel to Qionghai, Lingshui, Haikou, Wenchang, Wanning, and other places. The taxi stand is near the station, one can also choose taxi to leave the station. On the first floor of the station building, there is a Pizza Hut. Several restaurants, hotels and shops are scattered around the square, one can easily find what one wants.

Eighteen ticket windows are in operation in Sanya Railway Station. Besides, ten self service ticket machines are available all the time. The big LED screen and broadcast in the station shows ticketing, waiting room and other detailed information all the time.

 

Sanya Railway Station

For left luggage, one has two choices. There is a left luggage office in the train station; the price for each piece is about CNY5-25 per day. Luggage can also be deposited in Sanya General Bus Station, too; the price there is CNY 2 per hour.

Different with other stations, this Railway Station has a rich tropical setting, which gives passengers a concise and beautiful feeling when they first arrive in the city. Due to its important position in Sanya traveling, the services there are distinguished also. There are unique inquiry services in both Chinese and English, which help explaining the transportation and location of the city’s famous tourist sites. Besides, Red Coat Service, which offers inquiry, ticket purchase guide, and other services to passengers are available.

 How to get to the railway station:
By bus:
Take bus N0. 4, 5, 10 (Inner Ring), 10 (Outer Ring), 20, 22, 30 and get off at Sanya Railway Station.
By taxi:
It takes 25 minutes and costs CNY 50 from Sanya Yalongwan Railway Station.
It takes 20 minutes and costs CNY 40 from Phoenix International Airport.

 How to get to famous tourism sites and other stations:
To Tianya Haijiao:
1. Take bus No. 10 (Outer Ring) and get off at Youyi Local Police Station, transfer to tourist bus to reach there.
2. Take bus No. 22 and get off at Haiyun Holiday, transfer to bus No. 24 and get off at Tianya Haijiao.
To Asian Dragon Bay:
Take bus No. 10 (Inner Ring) or 10 (Outer Ring) to Sanya Municipal Committee, transfer to bus No. 15 to Liupan Village, and then walk to the place.
To Jinjiling Park:
Take bus No. 10 (Inner Ring) and get off at Haiyun Holiday, and then walk to the park.

 How to get to Phoenix International Airport:
1. Take bus No. 22 to Yingbin Garden, and then transfer to bus No. 27 to Phoenix Airport.
2. Take bus No. 10 (Outer Ring) to Shi Zhong Hang, walk to Waimao Road Crossing and take bus 27 to reach the airport.
3. If taking  taxi from the railway station, it would cost about CNY40.
