Pingyao - Luoyang Train

One train is operated daily from Pingyao Railway Station to Luoyang Railway Station. It takes around 10.5 hours to finish a total distance of around 684 kilometers (425 miles). The ticket price is CNY 174 for a hard sleeper. For more options, passengers can make a transfer in Xi’an North Railway Station.

From Luoyang to Pingyao, no direct train is available and a transfer in Xi’an is needed. By this way, the high speed trains are available and the overall travel time is about 5 - 6 hours, even shorter than the direct one from Pingyao to Luoyang. A through ride on a second class seat is CNY 324.5.

 Luoyang, known for the city flower - Peony, features a large number of attractions. Longmen Grottoes, Shaolin Temple and White Horse Temple are the top attractions that tourists can not miss while visiting Luoyang.

Tourists can take bus line K81 from Luoyang Railway Station or bus line 71 from Luoyang Longmen Railway Station to Longmen Grottoes. Besides, bus line 53/ K53, 60/ K60, 71, 81/ K81, 99/ K99, or 167 from downtown Luoyang are available.

Tourists can take a long-distance bus from Luoyang Bus Station whose duration and ticket fare are 1.5 - 2 hours and CNY 20 respectively to reach Shaolin Temple.

Bus line 56/ K56, 58/ K58, or 87 are available to get to White Horse Temple.
