Jilin Railway Station is about 7 kilometers (4 miles) from Songhua River, 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Jilin Manchu Museum and Beishan Park, 23 kilometers (14 miles) from Songhua Lake, and 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Rime Island.

Served as a gateway to northeast China, Jilin Train Station is a junction point of Changchun - Tumen Railway, Shenyang – Jilin Railway, Jilin - Shulan Railway, and Changchun - Hunchun Intercity High Speed Railway. It operates both bullet trains and normal speed trains to/from Harbin, Shenyang, Changchun, Dalian, Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Xi’an, Suzhou, and Shanghai etc.

Jilin Train Station is a comprehensive transportation hub with advanced equipment and facilities. It covers an area of 230,000 square meters (270,000 square yards) and consists of four parts: east station building, west station building, east station square and west station square. Passengers can get into station buildings from either side, and buy tickets and waiting for trains at both east and west station buildings. Shops and restaurants are available at waiting zone. Passengers can leave the station by bus, taxi and private vehicles at both squares.

Jilin Railway Station has 40 trains to Longjia Railway Station each day from 06:25 to 21:40 which is opposite to Changchun Airport. The ticket fare is CNY 22.5 for second class seats and standing-room-only tickets and CNY 37 for first class seats and the duration is about 30 minutes.
 

To Beishan Park:
Take bus no.807 and get off at Deshengmen, then walk east for about 570 meters (620 yards) through Renmin Square to the park.

To Zhuque Mountain National Forest Park:
By bus no.33: Get off at Zhuque Mountain Park, then walk along Township Road 018 for about 1.5 kilometers (1 miles) to the ticket office of Zhuque Mountain.
By taxi: It takes you about 40 minutes to get there and costs roughly CNY 35.

To Rime Island:
Take a coach at -1F of Train Station West Square to Wula Street. The coach leaves every 15 minutes and ticket fare is CNY11. Then take a taxi to the Island and taxi fare is about CNY15.

To Jilin Manchu Museum:
Take bus no.807 at Train Station East Square and get off at Deshengmen Station. Then walk southwest along the Desheng Road for about 300 meters (340 yards) to the destination.

To Songhua Lake:
Take bus no.33 at Train Station East Square and get off at Fengmanqiao, then walk southeast along the Songbin Road for about 700 meters (770 yards) to the west gate of Songhua Lake Scenic Area.
