At present, there is no direct daily flight between Hong Kong and Changsha and passengers need to transfer in Shanghai, Haikou, Xiamen or Nanjing. The total travel time by air generally takes about 6 - 7.5 hours and the flight ticket fare is also a little expensive, costing around CNY 900 - 1,500. It only takes about 3 - 4 hours and costs CNY 592 by bullet train. It is obvious that taking a high speed train is more convenient and more economical.
