About 4 pairs of normal speed trains currently run daily between Guangzhou Railway Station and Zhangjiajie West Railway Station. These normal trains take as long as 12 to 14 hours, a soft sleeper or hard sleeper is recommended, costing around CNY433.5 - 498.5 and CNY 247.5 - 323.5 respectively.

Flight service is another frequently used transfer for this trip which takes only about 1.5 - 2 hours. For travelers who are tight in time, it is surely the first choice. However, the ticket price is much higher than rail service. The flight ticket fare could be around CNY500 to CNY1100 at different seasons based on the discount given by airlines.
