Guangzhou to Hong Kong High Speed Train |
Guangzhou - Hong Kong Flight vs. Train
There are only two flights departing from Guangzhou to Hong Kong every day, respectively at 10:15 and 22:15. After about 1 hour's flying, passengers can get to Hong Kong Airport. Generally, an economy class seat costs around CNY 1,000 – CNY 1,300. Compared to the flight, high speed trains offer more timetable choices and take nearly the same travel time. What's more, trains are much cheaper than the flights. So it is generally more recommended to take a train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong rather than a flight.
Guangzhou - Hong Kong High Speed VS. Coach
Taking coaches is another choice for passengers who have enough time but a limited budget. Currently, there are many coaches of different bus companies shuttling between these two cities. Bus ticket fares differ based on different destinations and pick-up points. Generally, it costs about CNY 90 - 110 from Guangzhou city center to Hong Kong's downtown area, about CNY 110 to Disneyland Park and CNY 200 to Hong Kong Airport. However, a round-trip ticket would be more cost-efficient, around CNY 150 - 200 between the downtown areas of the two cities. The duration for a single ride is about 3 - 4 hours. Another advantage of taking coaches is that passengers can choose their pick-up points freely.
