How to Get from Beijing South Railway Station to Wangfujing
The distance from Beijing South Railway Station to Wangfujing is around 9 kilometers (5.5 miles). The subway is the most popular way to make the trip, taking around 35 minutes and costing CNY 4. A city bus is also available, which takes around 65 minutes and costs CNY 2. Passengers can also choose a taxi. A taxi takes around 30 minutes and costs about CNY 40.
→ Follow the bilingual direction signs to the subway entrance on the -1F level of Beijing South Railway Station.
→ Take subway line 4 to Xidan, 4 stops.
→ Change to subway line 1 to Wangfujing, 3 stops.
The subway station is at the south end of Wangfujing Pedestrian Street.
→ Take subway line 14 to Yongdingmen Outside, 1 stops.
→ Change to subway line 8 to Jinyu Hutong, 5 stops, then walk southward to the busy street.
→ Take Subway Line 4 to Caishikou, 2 stops;
→ Transfer to Line 7 to Zhushikou, 2 stops;
→ Transfer to Line 8 and get off at Jinyu Hutong after three stops, then walk southward to the commercial street.
→ Go to the North Square of the Beijing South Railway Station
→ Take bus 106 twelve stops to Dongdan Road Cross North (Dongdan Lukou Bei) or fifteen stops to Dongsi Road Cross South (Dongsi Lukou Nan).
Please note that Dongdan Road Cross North is near the south entrance of Wangfujing Street, and Dongsi Road Cross South is near the north entrance of Wangfujing Street.
A taxi can hold up to 4 passengers. It is cost-effective to take a taxi if your are part of a group. However, there are usually many people waiting for the taxis so you’d better be mentally prepared in advance.
