Badaling Great Wall Railway Station
Badaling Great Wall Railway Station is right under Badaling Great Wall; its entrance/ exit is only 2-3 minutes’ walking to Badaling Great Wall cable car station and 800 meters (880 yards) to Badaling Great Wall climbing entrance. It is the largest and the most complicated underground high speed railway station in the world. High speed trains leaving from Beijing North Railway Station arrive in about 30 minutes, and from Qinghe Railway Station arrive in about 20 minutes. 800 meters to the west, stands Badaling Railway Station, which operates S2 trains to/from Beijing taking about 1.5 hours.

As a railway station in Beijing – Zhangjiakou High Speed Railway line, it has high speed trains to/from Beijing, Zhangjiakou, Datong, Hohhot, Baotou, Qinghe and Xuanhua, etc.

Badaling Great Wall Train Station is mostly constructed underground for the purpose of protecting Badaling Great Wall. The underground architecture consists of a waiting hall and a platform. It covers an area of 40,000 square meters (47,840 square yards) with a maximum depth of 102 meters (335 feet). In the waiting hall, there are about 500 seats, Nursing Room, Unisex Toilet, etc. Above the ground, the arrival hall is on the southwest and the departure hall is on the northeast. There are 4 manual ticket windows and 7 automatic ticket machines in the departure hall.
Enter: After arrival, go through the security check at the entrance, then take the elevator to the waiting hall on B1. Badaling Great Wall Railway Station has adopted e-tickets, so if you have verified your identity before, there is no need to collect paper tickets. Passengers can scan their passport to enter the station, but need to use the manual checkpoints. Then take another elevator to go down to the platform to get on board.
Exit: Follow the bilingual signs to exit. Passengers need to take the long escalators to the ground.
To cable car station: After exiting from the station, walk to the northeast for 2 – 3 minutes, you will see the cable cars going up to Badaling Great Wall.
To Badaling Great Wall climbing entrance: First, walk to the southwest for about 315 meters (345 yards), then walk southeast for about 550 meters (600 yards). You will arrive at the climbing entrance.
1. Depart from Qinghe Railway Station by high speed train. Passengers can take subway line 13 to Qinghe subway station or city bus line 521, 623, 320, 603, 495, 544 or Zhuan 139 to Qinghe Railway Station.
2. Take high speed trains from Beijing North Railway Station. Passengers need to get to Xizhimen by subway line 2, line 4, line 13 or arrive by city bus line 145, 375, 438, 632 to Beijing North Railway Station.
Note: Only two trains depart from Beijing North at 8:43 and 11:46 respectively while 14 trains from Qinghe. So it is advised to take a transfer at Qinghe Railway Station.
1. Making a transfer at Qinghe Railway Station is a nice choice. First, passengers need to arrive at Dongzhimen by the airport express line, then take subway line 13 and get off at Qinghe. The journey is about 1.5 hours and costs CNY 30. After, take the high speed train to Badaling from Qinghe.
2. Or take airport express line to Dongzhimen and transfer to line 2 to Xizhimen, taking 75 minutes and CNY29. Walk northward to Beijing North Railway Station and take a high speed train there.
1. Take Daxing Airport Express Line to Caoqiao and transfer to line 19 to Mudanyuan. Take line 10 at Mudanyuan to Zhichun Rd., and then transfer to line 13 to Qinghe Railway Station, taking CNY41. After, take a high speed train there to Badaling Great Wall.
2. Take Daxing Airport Express Line to Caoqiao, transfer to line 19 to Jishuitan, and then take line 2 to Xizhimen, which takes CNY40. After, walk to Beijing North Railway Station and take a high speed train there to Badaling Great Wall.
1. Take subway line 1 to Fuxingmen, transfer to line 2 to Xizhimen, then take line 13 to Qinghe Railway Station. The total travel time is about one hour and the fare is CNY 5. There are frequent high speed trains to Badaling Great Wall Railway Station.
2. Get on subway line 2 inner ring at Qianmen station and get off at Xizhimen. It takes 30 minutes and CNY 4. Then, take a train at Beijing North Railway Station to get there.
1. Walk southwestward for about 200 meters (209 yards) to take the free shuttle bus to Badaling Safari Park, then walk southwestward to the bus stop of 919. Take bus 919 to Shuitun stop, walk across the road to take bus 872 and get off at Nanxin Village, the ticket office of Ming Tombs is on the south. The duration is about 2.5 hours and it costs CNY9.
2. Or passengers can take bus no. 879 to Dingling to the Ming Tombs directly. The bus stop is on the southwest of the east gate of Badaling Great Wall, about 350 meters (383 yards) away. The duration is about 2 hours and it costs CNY7.
