Direct Trains Between Harbin and Yabuli Ski Resort to Run

Yabuli South Railway Station, with a straight line distance of 500 meters (550 yards) from Yabuli Ski Resort and known as the "railway station in the ski resort", will see its first pair of trains in the 2024-2025 snow season leaving/ arriving on November 22, 2024. Train K5197 departs from Harbin Railway Station at 08:00 and arrives in Yabuli South Railway Station at 10:15; K5198 leaves Yabuli South Railway Station at 17:25 and gets to Harbin Railway Station at 19:40, meaning that passengers are able to travel back and forth between the two within one day. Only soft seats are available, costing CNY 49.5 (USD 7).

Currently, there are also around 20 pairs of high speed trains running between Harbin and Yabuli West Railway Station. It costs more than CNY 70 (USD 10) for a second class seat and takes about 1.5 hours on the way. But Yabuli West Railway Station is still about 19km (11.8 mi) away from the ski resort.

During the Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025, nonstop special trains will shuttle between Beijing and Yabuli South Railway Station, providing more convenience for passengers coming to participate in the games.

China Train Paper Tickets Will No Longer Be Available!

On October 18, 2014, China State Taxation of Administration, Ministry of Finance of China and China Railway Cooperation jointly announced that China train E-tickets will be promoted extensively since November 1, 2024, which means the paper tickets will gradually withdraw from the stage of history. Passengers can simply use their ID certificates used for booking the tickets, like passport to take the train. However, there is a transition period till September 30, 2025, during which time both e-tickets and paper tickets will be available.
