Nanjing Underwater World
Located next to Mei Hua Mountain of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum in Nanjing City, Nanjing Underwater World has over 200 species of marine animals, including more than 10,000 marine fish, 6 emperor penguins from the Antarctic, over 20 temperate penguins and 30 marine mammals such as polar bears, arctic foxes, dolphins and sea lions.
The whole aquarium covers an area of 32,000 square meters (7.9 acres) and is divided into two parts: the aboveground exhibition area and the underground exhibition area. The exhibition area on the ground is equipped with modern display cases of aquatic animals, and visitors can enjoy various schools of fish, huge turtles and fierce crocodiles while walking. The underground exhibition area is the most wonderful part of Nanjing Underwater World where tourists can enjoy the exciting show of people and sharks dancing together peacefully in the transparent tunnel.
