Avenue of Stars
Avenue of Stars |
Stepping into the entrance of the Avenue of Stars, you can see the 6 meters (19 feet) high bronze statue of the goddess of Hong Kong Film Awards. On the middle of the avenue stand a series of statues with the theme of the film shooting, including a director, photographers, and lighting engineers. There are some statues of the superstars of Hong Kong. For example, the statue of Bruce Lee, the most famous one, is shaped as the film “Enter the Dragon”, with a height of 2 meters (6.5 feet). The statue was built in 2005 to commemorate his 65-year-old birthday. You can imitate Bruce Lee’s action, and pose for a photo with him. The statues of Hong Kong cartoon character, McDull, and Anita Mui, a popular actor and singer in Hong Kong, were erected on the Avenue of Stars, as well.
Avenue of Stars, Kowloon |
Strolling along the Avenue of Stars, feeling the sea breeze, you can enjoy the bright night view on the other side of Victoria Harbor, and the bustling star ferries over the sea. Due to its relatively advantageous location, it is also a great place to admire the large-scale lighting music show “Symphony of Lights”. The out-door show begins at 20:00 every day, and lights up Hong Kong’s night sky.
