Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center
Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center in the Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, occupying an area of 24,000 square meters (about 28,704 yards), is an outdoor exhibition center that combined with knowledge and entertainment. It features relics, folk buildings, ethnic flavor, and folk customs of four minorities, Zhuang, Dong, Yao, and Miao.
Upon entering the gate of Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center, one will see a huge timbal which is a wonderful achievement of the bronze culture in ancient China, with a history of more than 2,700 years. There are more than 320 timbals in the centre, among which the Yunleiwen Timbal is the largest in the world. It weighs around 300 kilograms (about 661 pounds), with a diameter of 165 centimeters (about 65 inches) and stands 67.5 centimeters (about 26.5 inches) in height.
Typical buildings of several minorities can be seen inside Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center, such as dwelling houses of Zhuang people, bamboo buildings of the Yao's, houses constructed on water by the Miao people and finally, the drum-towers of Dong people. Their daily utensils and handicrafts are also displayed in each respective model house. Various folk performances will be shown during festivals. This is where one can fully appreciate the enchanting and unique customs of the minorities of Guangxi.
Whilst there, one can also visit several workshops that demonstrate extraction of oil and sugar, rice grinding, paper and pottery making, etc, each of which is unique on its own. On top of that, tourists visiting the Miao building will be treated to its unique folk dishes.

How to get to Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center
1. Take Metro Line 1 to Minzu Square and leave from Exit B, you will see the center.
2. Take bus 30, 34, 205, 706, B23 or B63 to Wenwuyuan (Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center).

Nanhu Lake Park
Nanhu Lake Park is located in the southeast of Nanning City and features aquatic sceneries and subtropical gardening landscapes. It covers an area of 1.3 square kilometers (about 0.5 square miles) and a quarter of the whole park is covered by the lake.
Nanhu Lake was once a brook connected to a river but during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), a major flood occurred and submerged the surrounding fields and houses, which was how Nanhu Lake was created.
Nanhu Lake Park is an ideal place to entertain yourself. In the park, you can fully appreciate the views of various plants, such as Pinang, Chinese fan palms, and other tropical trees. There is a garden with hundreds of precious flowers and bamboo, in which three inner gardens are very attractive places. There are Chinese herbal gardens with over 200 Chinese herbs, orchid gardens and bonsai gardens. A visit in the gardens will reward you with not only abundant knowledge but also the pleasures of nature's beauty.
Above the lake, there is a nine-arch bridge, a scenic bridge, and a long bank in the Nanhu Lake Park where you can get a view of the lake. Fish eateries will also provide you delicious local food. Either boating on the lake or fishing at the shore can offer you an escape from the pressures of city life indeed.
In addition, there is a museum set up in 1984 to commemorate two uprisings in history. It was constructed in the Guangxi folk style which is also of tourist value.
How to get to Nanhu Lake Park
1. Take Metro Line 1 to Nanhu Lake.
2. Take Metro Line 3 to Langxi. Get out from Exit B and walk northwest for 5 minutes.
3. Take bus 8, 20, 33, 34, 51, 60, 65, 80, 215, B3, B11, B14 or B86 to Nanhu Gongyuan (Nanhu Lake Park).
