From May 15 to 19, 2010, TravelChinaGuide (abbr.TCG) sent a group of staff to Shanghai for an incentive tour. During the four days, TCG staff members not only visited the renowned sights but also explored the grand Expo 2010 Shanghai.

On May 15, the staff members strolled to the busy Nanjing Road, the no.1 commercial street in China and the shoppers' paradise. After a relaxed walk and shopping, they reached the newly-widened Bund. The broad Bund is more pleasant for visitors to appreciate the classical buildings of various architectural styles along the waterfront, the Huangpu River and also the spectacular scene of Pudong New Area.

The next two days, the group headed for the World Expo. On May 16, rainy as it was, the Expo tourists were all high in spirit, and so did the TCG staff members. They entered the Expo Park from Yaohua Road Entrance and explored China Pavilion, Expo Axis and other Asian pavilions in Zone A first. The display in China Pavilion thoroughly showed the glorious history, the amazing speed of China's urbanization and the distinctive fork customs, truly worth the hardness for getting the reservation tickets! In the afternoon, they visited the European Zone including the UK Pavilion, Germany Pavilion, France Pavilion, Italy Pavilion, Spain Pavilion and Switzerland Pavilion. In the evening they saw an excellent performance at the Africa Square. The singing, dancing and Kungfu shows by a group of African boys are very eye-catching, making it a memorable and sweet night.

On May 17, the group started the visit from Puxi Site. First they wandered about the Corporate Pavilions and UBPA Display area, and then went to Pudong by ferry to visit the America Zone including the pavilions of USA, Canada and Brazil. A tremendous number of visitors to the Expo make many popular pavilions being wrapped by queues many times, so our staff only managed to go into some of the pavilions. However the experience is unique and worthwhile.

On May 18, the staff toured Pudong New Area, where a modern Shanghai was typically displayed and Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden of the Ming Dynasty.

This tour showed us the new charm of Shanghai, who practiced her slogan of the Expo 'Better City, Better Life'. Welcome to join our Shanghai tours to see a better Shanghai!
